2 years ago Can you send full logcat? first run "logcat -c" to clean logs, after that, run logcat normally, save everything into a file, and send it here, i think maybe selinux is denying read access to "/metadata/gsi/dsu/dsu/lp_metadata" (or maybe it dosen't exists? no clue), maybe there is useful information within full logcat

1 year ago Sidenote here: I've used DSU to successfully install Lineage on the Nord N20, but it's super random when it actually gives me the notification to reboot. I'd say once every 6 days or so I might get 1 random notification that the DSU image is ready to be rebooted to.

Try to install the Magisk module, the version without gsid should be ok, if problem persists, send new logs (appreciate if you can attach a text file containing the logs)

Yeah, this problem seem to be happening in some devices, i saw some Samsung with the same issue too, no clue if there is any way to fix, anyway, if you're running app with root, you can discard, and reboot directly from DSU Sideloader app, i think is also possible to control dsu from gsi_tool command

1 year ago Okay so, I may have found a solution for the problem
By simply deleting lp_metadata, From /metadata/gsi/dsu/dsu/
It will create a fresh file and the error should be fixed
It's happening most probably due to the lp_metadata file getting corrupted

in my case it doesn't exist.
Adb logcat shows the following error. I've tried installing half a dozen GSIs with different sizes on a OnePlus Nord N20 5G. Bootloader is unlocked and the key was changed. I am using the latest DSU Sideloader version, October Security Update, Android 11. Please let me know what you think. Thank you!
