Problem with Unmount SD option #80

Open NPriyo opened 1 year ago

  1. It seems "Unmount SD" option doesn't work while using the "Built-in Installer" (in the normal app & both Magisk Module version apps). The progress reaches "Processing system partition" in a second, and stays there forever. It never ends. But if I try again After Manually removing the SD Card, then the process finishes successfully after like 10 seconds. There's no such problem if Not Using "Built-in Installer"...

  2. Fingerprint & Face Unlock doesn't work if the GSIs are flashed via DSU Sideloader. But they work if flashed via Fastboot.

Device : Realme 9SE / Q3s (RMX3461) Android version : 13 (these same problems are present in older android versions too)

Exactly same problem is there on the latest 2.03 (8) version too.

First problem needs investigation, but seems to be confirmed, i've tested in two devices and bug occurs, ill look into this once i get some time. Now, the second one i cannot reproduce, GSIs installed via DSU should work the same as the ones flashed with fastboot, are you doing something more than when installing using fastboot? what GSI you're trying to boot? so i can test it by myself.

The 2nd problem is there in all the GSIs I flash over Stock ROM. But they work normally if flashed over custom ROM. Could it be a limitation of the stock kernel? I'm attaching a screenshot of log which seemed relevant.

If you're fine using a Custom ROM for installing GSIs, you should be able to use DSU Sideloader with Custom ROM

Actually DSU Sideloader on custom ROM was tested by other users from my device community. I personally prefer using it with stock ROM.
