Forgive me for editing something in your blog section, but it seems to be updated as you add new things and so I read as more of a "content" page.

My changes were inspired by this toot:

I'm not interested in doing this sort of thing, so wasn't familiar with the technique. But the link in that toot (now pasted on the page) struck terror into my heart, and tripped my paternalistic instincts to reflect that on your page.

I thought back to the rules on an EE forum I lurked on for a while, where they were seriously protective because teenager tinkerers were allowed, and there are some things they should not even know to try. Even for adults, the amount of closing ranks to avoid knowledge of this suggests it should be treated in a similar manner.

I hope this language is considered an improvement.

Normally I wouldn't take a pull on the blog pages, but this one is sort of an odd one out since It's only sorta-bloggy-y and I absolutely agree with you. I know that there's some percentage of people that will totally disregard all warnings and do it anyway though (Speaking from experience) so I am glad you did agree some should be kept!

It's really hard to talk about my burnt boards, because on the one hand I'm proud of it and the fact I did it myself, but on the other hand I absolutely don't want to inspire others to do it.
