Quantum entanglement? Non-balance affecting ghost transactions displayed that happened on third party wallet after receiving basecoin from stealth. #672

Is this quantum entanglement? Ghost transactions were displayed on my wallet that happened on a completely independent wallet after receiving a basecoin transaction from my stealth to basecoin transaction.

This did not affect the balance in any way, but the subsequent automint transaction was somehow detected and notified on the wallet that only sent the amount to the other wallet's new basecoin address.

This wallet had never had a prior transaction with the receiving wallet

I recorded the balance before and after and can confirm that it made not a single Satoshi difference in the balance of the wallet seeing the ghosted transactions.

The sending wallet that saw the minting transaction occur on the other wallet is a MacOS Qt wallet, v1.0.4.7. The receiving wallet that did the automint is an Ubuntu 18.04 Linux running veild and veil-cli, Veil:1.0.4.7. Both downloaded from Github.

The debug.log only recorded [default wallet] AddToWallet TXID new and at least presently, if I gettransaction TXID it shows the full transaction, and all addresses show as not mine, but the PREVOUT_HASH is showing as "from_me": true,

I'm attaching below the transaction with identifying details replaced by ALL_CAPITALS descriptors. TEMP.txt

I wrote "transactions" in plural above, because it showed as line transaction lines in the GUI (Wallet Overview) transactions list, but all have the same TXID.

To get an idea of what is seen in the wallet where the transaction did not really take place: GhostTransactions.spreadsheet.pdf

The above was actually the minting of seven one thousand denom zerocoins, although the information on the wallet seeing the ghost transactions might make it seem like it was more, but without displaying details it shows 0.00000000 VEIL as the amount.

Happened more than twenty times in a row on the new testnet also.

Today I am not seeing these (dead schrödinger's cat) notifications happening on the original [testnet] wallet. Don't know why not today, but 100% a couple of days ago.

seanPhill commented 4 years ago

It seems to be happening again today, after I sent 3000 tVeil from ten denoms to someone else. Seeing Zerocoin Mint transactions appear, when no minting was actually happening in my wallet. (Nine at a time, which indicates autominting.)
