Should display temp unit #2

Whether it is Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Seems that it won't auto pick the right unit for me. Have to use the force option.

Unit is based on your device's locale, not on the locale of your current or forced location. Not displaying the unit was a design decision to simplify the UI.

Ok, fair enough. One of the few using American locale while in Europe I guess. :)
