Frame rate drop/stuttering + huge bloated saves #6

seems to be related to overlapping Stash operations, i.e. opening the Stash while it's populating with items, closing it before the item list gets loaded, etc.

  1. This is not script lag, this is almost certainly a problem with my SKSE plugin.
  2. Saves that have become bloated as a result of this bug are probably unsalvageable.
  3. If you've already created a Stash and have suffered no ill effects on your game, you're probably fine. The nature of the bug means you'll know right away when there's a problem because your game will basically grind to a halt almost immediately.
  4. This bug did not appear during testing, either for me or for any of my testers, and I was only able to reproduce it by spamming the "Create Stash" skill while repeatedly opening and shutting a Stash chest.

Double-activating the Stash after it's created seems to reliably trigger this. Now to work out why.

I think I've fixed this in 7d7d448f60797d0a6f821f1f23e62997e2c30c2f, but the symptoms seem too severe to have been caused by Papyrus and the alias engines alone. Closing for now, but will be keeping a close eye on this.
