You'll have to decide which license you want for your package. I'd recommend GPL (https://choosealicense.com/licenses/gpl-3.0/), but MIT is another, more permissive option https://choosealicense.com/. Let me know so as to include it in the DESCRIPTION

I think GPL is ok. I like that the "changes made to the licensed material must be documented", but still is permissive.
