Events in FTL were a messy kludge.
Heavily influenced by a random seed somewhere. The way events are chosen has not been reverse-engineered. On loading, EncounterState's choice list replays user's decisions. Wherever in the xml that winds up decides things like storms.
EnvironmentState
only seems to contain information about the presence of a red giant, pulsar, PDS or an astroid field. InBeaconState
hasn't any information regarding storm-environments either. Is it even possible to retrieve this information from the save file? Or am I missing something here?
