Bug Description

My server is PaperSpigot 1.12.2. When my server is running, if I use players with version 1.8.9, it will cause the server to crash. I am not sure what operation caused the crash because it happens suddenly every time

Steps to Reproduce

To be honest, I don't know how to reproduce this error, but my personal guess is to place blocks

Expected Behavior

1.8 The client can play normally without causing server crashes
