Eh. Not really.

I am still using it as a library for Tail Tools.

As a tool for microbial genomics, it's an artifact from an earlier era.

But not necessarily redundant? I particularly like the freebayes variant calling and vcf filtering parameters with the ploidy setting then reduction with Dirichlet qualities. But I'm exploring how to use bwa as the aligner instead (just trying to wrap my head around the bam processing steps given that it currently doesn't like split read alignments).
