I think there is lot of hustle going on for kodi JioTV addon. Instead I found it useful, simple, and working to use direct JioTV android app, If you have jio sim.

Yes coz it's not made for tv Jio tv app for tv is custom made by community and it's not as good as kodi

I have kodi installed on my firestick and with the channels i watch on my favorites

I have removed all others tabs and made "favourite" my home tab on Kodi boot up

Uninstall or disable simple IPTV client

Or use it online for some local m3u playlist so you get extra channels like star Plus , Disney etc alongside jiotv

You can also install "app on boot " kind of app So kodi starts automatically on device boot Giving you a simpler and more easy to use experience

Simple IPTV PVR Client works well. It has EPG guide and numbering system of channels. Why would you want to remove it? You can setup to show tv channels list on Kodi start-up

In most Android devices it freezes kodi Everytime it refreshes channel list. Plus it's not quick enough to get to the channel you want to watch right away out of a list of 500 channels 🙂

The original Jiotv app is made for android os, means for android mobile, but it can run on android boxes, firestick etc. as well. If you have Android TV then you will need to search the web for moded Jiotv app for Android TV os. And there are many out there.
