teacher account preferences and rights #375

To make awarenet as interesting and exciting - and also useful as possible for
first time teacher users, I would suggest that teachers have the same feed
preferences as admins, i.e. they should be able to see the whole activity of
the network in their feed.

Is that a complicated thing to do? Would it be possible to do for Monday?

Looking at the code this probably could be implemented by just extending one if
statement (instead of allowing admin also allow teacher). So this should not be
too much of a problem to do.

Sounds good, can you start with this one then?

I am not sure if I identified all parts of the code affected. How do you go
about looking at other people's feed? Does this happen automatically after you
logged in or you click on feed or is there something else you click somewhere
else?

Kind regards,
Michael

As an admin you see what everyone does in your feed. If you are a normal user,
you only see what your "friends" do. So, you have to make a friend request
first and have it accepted. Does that answer your question?

Yes, thank you.

I have updated the code, it works on my developer installation and now need to
check with Stryx how to bubble out our code updates ...

Kind regards,
Michael

It seems that the changes will only be visible once we upgraded all
installations to Kapenta Version 3.

It is best that tests be done on mothsorchid.com (our test network). Will let
you know once my code is available there.
