Yes, I understand your problem. A status bar would be very useful here. Or a
warning message when a learner wants to leave a page before successful saving.
This is another example of basic computer skills that should be learned during
our programme: one must not move away from a page before text is saved.
The awarenet page needs to reload to save the new content. The reloading may be
monitored in the browser tabs. Such a trick would have to be taught before
learners start writing their blogs obviously.
I add this idea, because the issue has low priority, but you might need a
solution now...

changed the priority to medium since we have the other problem with the long
times of saving blogs which is apparently caused by the feeds. Maybe its clever
to do it in one go.

News from Strix: " Have made a fix for the issue with blog posts saving slowly. Should make the save action fast and do the other work later in the background - notifications, updating the stats, maintaining the cache, twitter etc. While I was in there I found another way to make the blog cache and notifications more efficient, so that should help a little with overall speed.
This fix is not on the production instances yet, I'll do that tomorrow afternoon when I have access to them at the hub. "
Thank you very much, Strix!!
This should no longer be a problem for awarenet.eu, will be closed for all awarenet instances this weekend after next set of updates are applied.
Cool :P
