problem in new versions of HA #57

Hi. Plugin stopped working after upgrade HA version 2023.3.6 to 2023.4.X.

js is loaded, but in console "Configuration not found"

aMI me a ocurrido lo mismo pase de HA version 2023.3.6 2023.4 y ahora 2023.4.1 y a dejado de funcionar es una pena pena por que la integracion estaba super chula y daba mucha vistosidad al escritorio de home assistant a ver si hay pronto una solucion. gracias

es una tristeza para mi impresionante descubrir ahora mismo que este desarrollador tristemente a fallecido me acabo de enterar ahora mismo mi mas sentido pesame a su familia y allegados

me too... the same, after the latest core the animation no longer works. In my system it worked perfectly for a long time, then at a certain point, it stopped working, I thought of a problem on the core and I said to myself, ok let's wait, maybe with the next releases they will fix it, but unfortunately up to now nothing resolved. So, just to confirm to myself, I tried to rollback the core on a test machine, I started from early 2022 and I verified that up to version 2023.3.6 everything works fine, starting from version 2023.4.1 it doesn't work more. anyone can help us?

In my system it worked perfectly for a long time, then at a certain point, it stopped working, I thought of a problem on the core and I said to myself, ok let's wait, maybe with the next releases they will fix it, but unfortunately up to now nothing resolved. As you can read here: https://github.com/Villhellm/lovelace-animated-background/issues/56 the problem is known and was fixed already. Just not here beacuse of ... reasons. If you want a fork working, add https://github.com/dreimer1986/lovelace-animated-background/ or https://github.com/rbogdanov/lovelace-animated-background to your HACS. Select "Frontend" and under the three dots top right add one of the two repos. Now you can install the fixed version AFTER you uninstalled the old one first. The difference between the two repos? Mine is purism and just fixed the problems with 2023.04 aka it behaves similar to the original one. rbogdanov added transparency to the tiles as feature. I for myself prefer the minimal hacks way and just got my transparency with editing the theme. If theme and addin propagate different values sometimes the wrong one wins. I had enough flickering in the past. Ah and both forks will not help you if you plan to do things that go past the Dashboard. Before that I was able to modify the sidebar to be transparent, too. This is not possible anymore. These two are why I started my very own solution. It works differently, but is a slight bit more complex to get working, too. You can see a recent pic of it in the issue I linked above. It has no real install howto yet, but for ppl intersted in it, it's part of my own theme for now and will get some howto later. https://github.com/dreimer1986/yourname_card_mod
