Products from hidden categories are still in search results #80

Hi,

Using version 0.3.4 and Magento 1.8.1.0 cache cleared and reindexed.

I am not sure if its intended, but products from categories that are set as hidden show up in the search results.

So maybe its a feature request. If the feature is missing, can someone point me in the right direction how to change the module.

Thanks for your issue report. Product visibility settings are separate from categories. Hiding a category will not hide any contained products - they have to be hidden indepently.

The issue is that products can be associated wo zero or more categories. What should happen if only one of several categories a product belongs to is hidden? There is no clean solution to this. For that reason products have to be hidden separately.
