Name not Showing in image name or ALT tag

I turned off the unique id and the number disappeared but still no product name

Sorry for getting back to you so late. Contraty to my first assesment, this seems to be a tough one, since everything looks in order. To summarize:

• I can't reproduce the issue on Magento 1.7.0.2
• The name attribute value is avaiable on the product model, since it is displayed on the page
• The manufacturer attribute works, which happens to be a lot more complex then the product attribute
• There can't be any rewrite conflicts with other extensions since the nicer image name obviously is being used, even though its not complete
• There can't be an issue with the template for the same reason
• This is the first time that an issue with these symptoms occurres

I must admit, at the moment I'm stupified. In order to figure out what is going on I would have to debug on the host. If you can think of any other helpful information, please let me know. Should I have a moment of enlightenment and are able to think of a possible explanation I'll get back to you.
