This lack of functioning shadows applies to other animations as well. For example tunnel roofs have shadows in the SHP files, but these shadows are never seen in-game.
RA2 has apparently fixed this by implementing the Shadow key for animations.
@Crimsonum Can we confirm that it is in fact Shadow
from Red Alert 2 that is required?
Description:
Currently building animations don't cast shadows. It could be enhanced to make building animations to cast shadows.
Possible Implementation:
A new key like Shadow=yes could be used in art.ini animation sections to enable those.
