Chat sometimes shows no name.

Are you using the downloaded version or an SVN revision (if SVN, which
revision number)? Latest SVN

I'm not actually sure what's happening at the time this happens, in HLSW and in 
console the player appears to be typing without an issue, but shows up without 
a name in-game.

I can't fix it if I can't reproduce it. Are you sure it's not someone with a 
strange name that bugs out?

Positive, it's happened to me quite a few times, I'm not sure how to even 
reproduce it myself, the user who had the blank name in that screenshot was 
"Phantomia" you can see he typed in OOC a few seconds before his chat message 
showed up with no name.

It only appears to happen with local chat, they were switching jobs, using 
different functions like Yell, Yell still functions normally without an issue, 
just like OOC. But we still haven't pinpointed the issue.

HLSW Log: (They all had no names when speaking in local chat, so I told them to 
spam. Nothing out of the ordinary in HLSW log.)

Reconnecting to the server and speaking in local chat will allow you to see 
your own name, but others will not see it. (A crappy way to reproduce it, not 
sure if this is the complete issue or not.)

Player was able to type fine with a name until he reconnected and tried to 
speak in local chat again. (|SG| Legacy reconnects = no name, he can see his 
name when he types, others cannot.)

This was happening to me the other day, my friend's name got screwed up and 
became invisible on Steam, so he changed his name. After that, his name 
appeared as he changed it in OOC, but in local chat, it was still invisible. I 
don't think this is the exact problem you're describing, but it might help 
seeking as how it would appear that the names only change in OOC if you change 
your Steam name, not local chat.
