I want to add a scorer node (keeping score, duh) as a clear measure of skill in the game, which goes up as the player survives longer and takes bigger risks.
The score guidelines are:
More score the faster the game runs
More score the more time the player is in the air
More score the more grinding the player does
Generally, more score the more risk is taken
I think that adding the scorer node to the player scene is best as it'll make communication between the player node and the scorer more mainstream, the player sending the committed action to the scorer, which keeps a tally of the score until the end of the game.
As the feeling I want to evoke is that of rush and speed, I think a score display is a distraction, thus ONLY BONUSES SHALL BE DISPLAYED WHEN RELEVANT and the score itself on game over screen
