Purpose

An API endpoint needs to be created to handle the authentication logic when user is logging in. API endpoint example can be /api/auth/authenticate.

Prerequisites

Make sure that the users schema and collection in Mongo are ready.

Technical

Build a new Next.js API route endpoint
Authenticate using JWT
Logics should be against the users collection
