When you are getting that error, please run and post the results from
which python
declare -p VIRTUAL_ENV CONDA_DEFAULT_ENV
$ which python /C/Users/cynthia.lucock/development/terra_dsm/venv/terra_dsm-TEMshxX3/Scripts/python (terra_dsm)
$ declare -p VIRTUAL_ENV CONDA_DEFAULT_ENV declare -x VIRTUAL_ENV="/C/Users/cynthia.lucock/development/terra_dsm/venv/terra_dsm-TEMshxX3" bash: declare: CONDA_DEFAULT_ENV: not found (terra_dsm)
The VIRTUAL_ENV warning is stating you have the virtual env activated.
You should be able to type deactivate
to fix that.
That fixed it. It is all set.
Thank you, Cyndie

The following warning appeared after I updated terra on 5/10/2021 and ran a test dsm. I had not activated an external virtual/conda envs.
$ just run dsm "F:\buenos_aires\results\210510\settings.json" Warning: You appear to be in a virtual/conda env This can interfere with terra and cause unexpected consequences Deactivate external virtual/conda envs before running just Continue anyways? (n)
