Use of switch command #6

Open VisnuRavi opened 3 years ago

Since the UG emphasises on the KanBan and List view, the command for switching to KanBan and List should be KanBan and List respectively and not switch, as it is less intuitive, and feels less natural after reading through your UG

Team's Response

The tester expresses his preference for two separate commands for switching between views.

However, as we only have two views, the switch command acts as a toggle between the two views and it sufficies for our use case.

Having only a single command to toggle between the two views also makes the learning curve easier for a user, since a user only has to learn one command, rather than multiple.

Reason for disagreement: It would seem more intuitive to use the KanBan and List command to switch to the KanBan and List view. Furthermore, if you have more viewing designs in the future, it will not make users needing to unlearn the switch command(as I assume you would not be having switch command to switch to many view designs which is even worse), and be able to seamlessly transit into using the new view design as well as the previous view designs.
