Notional Textbox behaviours

Must

• Validation Support - Red border and tooltip with error message
• Allow for a disabled state
• SelectAll on focus
• Focus format is plain e.g. 1000000
• Blur format is currency formatted e.g. $1,000,000

  Should

• k', 'm' & 'y' short cut keys.
  • k/K -> thousand
  • m/M -> million
  • y/Y/b/B -> billion (yard)
  • allow prefix eg 2k->2,000 1.5m->1,500,000
  • potentially allow multipliers e.g. kk->1,000,000
• set value on blur
• Optionally have a water mark for when the value is null

  Could

• Accepts cents (if appropriate) but only shows if explicitly set
  • Wheel allows incrementing value
  • value increment should be relevant to current value
  • e.g. up by 5 if value is is under 100, up by 10 if under 500, up by 50 if under 1000 (work out what feels right basically dont go up by $5 when value is $1m, or up by 10k when value is 500)
  • Only when textbox is in focus.

I would also be good to have a Validation in WPF story here. This should cover Not only I(Notify)DataErrorInfo, but also Validationrule(s) and Binding groups. Ideally should be able to disable Buttons based on Commands, VM Validation and Visual validation (ie no Alphas in numeric boxes)
