We've prepared the design for what could be the Global Climate Watch widget. Please, let us know what you think. I don't think we can have this done by next week, but the sooner we get your feedback, the sooner we'll implement it.

We just spoke with Chris and he recommended keeping the card from Climate Watch and we'll just remove the section on NDCs from the top card. Keep the info on FRELs and the IPCC wetlands supplement.

Chris can draft some intro language for the new card and also provide definitions for each of the stats pulled in from climate watch to include as info button language

Just one comment about the intro, we thought of using the Blurb content for that, so maybe Chris doesn't have to do it.

Blurb is a long sentence that works as the NDC summary. It is dynamic for each country. Here you have a couple of examples:

Through this communication, Brazil confirms its commitment to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions in 2025 by 37%, compared with 2005. Additionally, Brazil commits to reduce its emissions in 2030 by 50%, compared with 2005. Brazil´s commitments also include a long-term objective to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. Brazil’s updated NDC is broad in scope and includes a consideration of means of implementation and the implementation of mitigation and adaptation actions in all economic sectors.

Indonesia submits Enhanced NDC to the UNFCCC Secretariat by 23 September 2022 with increased emission reduction target from 29% in First NDC and Updated NDC to 31.89% unconditionally and from 41% in the Updated NDC to 43.20% conditionally. This Enhanced NDC is the transition towards Indonesia’s Second NDC which will be aligned with the Long-Term Low Carbon and Climate Resilience Strategy (LTS-LCCR) 2050 with a vision to achieve net-zero emission by 2060 or sooner.

Emissions reduction could you make MtCO2eq read MtCO2e with the 2 as a subscript would we be able to change the info button next to mitigation to read "NDC contains mitigation?" Base year should read; "year against which emission targets are measured against" Type of mitigation pledge: indicates whether a country has a GHG emissions target, a non-GHG target or both Update status: "indicates whether this is the country's first NDC or whether it has been updated"

The only bit missing here is "Emissions reduction could you make MtCO2eq read MtCO2e with the 2 as a subscript"

This comes from API, I forced 2 to be a subscript but I haven´t changed the unit. the reason is I don't know what I am going to receive, and if I'll be showing data correctly if I change just the unit without changing anything else. I check the full response and it seems only Israel contains MtCO2eq, and that is not one of our locations so everything should be fine I guess

@mluena ok thanks for checking on this. It's not the end of the world if it's eq instead of e -- they mean the same thing but just looking for consistency across the site.
