Problem:
A D&D game that starts in a tavern is a trope and for good reason, it's a good way to start a quick campaign where the players find and get to know each other, maybe having just stopped off from completing another quest.
However, it is hard as a DM to come up with everything that the players may want to know about the tavern that they are in:
How big is the tavern
What sorts of food/drinks to they serve
Who else is in the tavern
How much do rooms cost and what quality of rooms are available
Does any of this information change depending on the time of day/month/year?
Solution:
Create a way to generate this material based on some given parameters to start with, including the kind of town that the tavern resides, the time of day/month/year, and other factors.
It may also be good to be able to supply tables and have that information rolled as well if it is pertinent to the tavern or the experience, such as a random encounter, quest, etc.
