I was suggesting that abrasion isn't something that alters the mass of the glacier. If we want to include the interaction with the solid surroundings, we should add "till" or "flour" to the mix.
Maybe we will conceptualize glacier "interaction" into several sub-types and at several scales. I'm thinking of the scouring out that results in glacial features.
Have to add drift then as well

@sjskhalsa raises the point that abrasion is more something that the glacier does to its solid surroundings rather than an erosion process.
I would say that this is two way, glacial ice gets mixed into a earth/ice slurry. But this is a good, tricky case to semantically unpack.
