The Situation: Some Void Crew runs can be fairly long, with the best player being able to reach 12 hours. The developers said that they intend to shorten this by balancing the difficulty scaling.
The Problem: Until this balancing is introduced, players will occasionally want a break. In most situations, if you leave the game for a few minutes, your ship won't survive until you get back. Near the end of these runs, all players can be needed all the time. Between each sector, the ship exists in a void jump. No enemies can appear during the jump, but the ship can get interdicted at a random time (influenced by the interdiction risk) and get pulled into a dangerous sector.
In-Game Solution: Some player have noticed that if the ship is in a void jump immediately after an interdiction, the ship cannot be interdicted. This give a safe place for player the take a break and guarantee that nothing will have happened when they get back. Unfortunately, interdictions are unpredictable and can be many minutes apart (sometimes over an hour), and a tired player may want a break sooner than that.
The Mod: This mod adds a "pause" button that's usable while the ship is in a void jump. Actually pausing the game is too difficult for this mod, so it just checks for a few things that can change during a jump (oxygen levels, circuit breakers, trims...) and modifies their values to not change. It also locks all players in position to prevent players from getting an unfair advantage. Most importantly, it will prevent any interdiction from starting while the game is "paused".
