Hitching Post kills aquatic dinos #63

Lost 4 hours of progress tonight because of this.

Put hitching posts into my marina and tied almost all of my underwater tames. As soon as I flew out of render distance, they all died.

I also just lost all of my breeders that were on hitching posts when i was out of render. I lost thirty dinos that were all land based dinos

Hello! Sorry to hear that, the hitching mecanism seems to have different behaviours in ASA. Can you provide me more information about how you were playing the game? I'm especially interested to know if it was single player, non-dedicated or dedicated. Another user reported an issue when joining bosses in singleplayer, but playing intensively with hitching posts on dedicated servers seem to cause no issue at all.

If it helps narrow the issue, only certain dino types died: Ichthy, Angler, Shark, Basil, Archelon, Mosa.

Some hitched did not die: Tuso, Bary, Beelz, Argent, Owl, Quetz, Wyvern, Tapa

For me i had spinos, thylas, megatheriums, baryonxs, theri, they all died at the same time time while i was in easy underwater cave in single player

So it turns out that this may not be a mod issue after all. Installed a couple teleporters and left my base via teleporter, which killed every single water dino. Apparently it's a known issue with ASA (I guess that the water de-renders before the dinos do).

Still it's odd that this happened that in the case I reported it only happened to hitched dinos, and just when flying, not teleporting. Still pretty sure that it's a mod issue, but I wanted to let you know that there's similar issues at play in the base game programming.

Hello. I'm coming to the news.

In today's update, there are 2 boss-related patch notes: "Prevented boss teleporting aquatic-only dinos with the Tek Transmitter" "Fixed unconscious players being teleported into boss fights"

This may have led to a refactor/bugfix on WildCard's side, as I have not been able to reproduce the issue in single player since then. Can you eventually try again with your setup to confirm if it continues occuring on your side?

Did a quick test and none died. Will keep test subjects tied up for 24 to further test.

Mosa and Shark died. Beetle alive for now.

Try going into a cave maybe its were i went when they all died
