In public rooms that are linked a lot, there will be always some trolls uploading stupid or banned content. Even a good room owner trying to keep his room clean by removing stuff and keeping in contact with mods has to sleep at times or even work to pay bills and nasty stuff like that.
So what happens right now when the room owner is absent is usually that some bad mod just storms in because of some report or because of boredom and just nukes the entire room for some infraction against the global rules, instead of just removing the bad content and banning the offending uploaders, even for well established rooms (e.g. at least 2 top10 rooms got nuked in the last week just because one or two random users couldn't behave).
Giving the room owner the ability to add more trusted users as secondary room owners would help prevent this from happening at least in a few cases, as secondary room owners could enforce room and vola policy and/or talk to mods in the absence of the room creator.
