The Database for Air Quality and Noise Analysis (DANA) Tool provides traffic-related inputs to the Motor Vehicle Emission Simulator (MOVES) vehicle emissions model and the Traffic Noise Model (TNM).
A user altered DANAhelp to the fact that DANA does not include Alaska in the drop down list. Billy investigated and found that Alaska and Hawaii were not included in DANA 1.0 because they are not included in the NEI representative county approach that DANA relies on for default emission rates. As discussed on 9-14-22 we think we can address this by separating out the part of process 1 that incorporates emission rates, including Alaska and Hawaii in the DANA drop down list, and adding Alaska and Hawaii to the TMAS datasets.
