T440P Trackpoint not working

so i had a bad trackpad, without working buttons, and trackpoint was working in the configuration

now i have replaced the bad trackpad with a good synaptics trackpad with working buttons, and i have lost trackpoint functionality.

to be clear i have just moved up to opencore 0.7.6 but id be willing to bet this isnt what caused it

note: i have also tried with VoodooPS2 Mouse enabled but didnt make a difference

its my understanding

if anyone has the solution for this it would be much appreciated, then i can be done with keyboard, trackpoint, and trackpad.

somehow my trackpoint magically started working. dont know how or why but just happy it did
