If it's open source it really really needs a license. I'm happy with anything. Maybe something simple and permissive like the MIT.

I would prefer something less permissive. Its still open source, but I really want it to be a CPSSD thing

In that case I'd suggest the GPL (quite strict) or the MPL (less strict).
