9 years ago I came here to ask for this very thing. I would start with autocrafting, I'd check what values other mods to do that operation.
Quick question for the authors would you be interested if I implemented this? Then sent a pull request?
Exactly as title states, maybe make it require energy for each operation, and more energy based on amount of items / distance it has to be moved.
