I think what is important to note before this discussion starts is that countries/politicians are moving forward with digital voting systems. And for the most part they are centralised systems with serious security concerns. It is up to us to build and prove a better open source decentralised system.

I agree with max, and would like to add - that how usable the system is. Increases how many people will participate, the quality of debate and better outcome (hopefully) of the votes.

I'm a proponent of a debate and proposal making workflow built-in. Voting is only the last stage in my view.
