I had this installed and it seems to have disappeared. When trying to
re-install I'm getting the same error message. Wonder if Chrome broke something

I rolled back to the stable version of Chrome and the plug-in is still there
(chrome 38.0.2125.104) - so something broke between version 38=>39 it would
seem.

I suspect it's somehow tied into multiple google identities.

I have a Legacy Packaged App that also started to fail to install once Chrome
was updated to Version 39.0.2171.65 m. We have had reports of people who had
the app installed yesterday, who have updated to V39 and now cannot run the
app.

I have the same issue as well. I closed Chrome & rebooted, when I came back the
Advanced Rest Client would no longer load. I tried to install it again and got
that it failed.

I've removed invalid CSP values (top level domains with wildcards which are not
prohibited) and declarativeWebRequest permissions which in available in beta
channel only.
