Hi, during these months WebRTC and relative libraries (like adapter.js) have been updated but in the meanwhile I haven't seen also updates on rtcomm. Is this project alive and well?

Hi Diego,

Several of the people who worked on this project are still around but we are all working on other project these days. It should not be difficult to update the libraries. Is this a project you are currently using or are you just considering it right now?

Thanks, -Brian

Hi Brian, thanks for your quick reply. My concerns are about the roadmap of rtcomm because we used it in our products that embed WLP. If IBM is committed we can ben sure to invest on it to build new features like Android native support. Otherwise we need to migrate to some other solution (and it would be a pity because I use WebSphere since v1 ;->)

Rtcomm support in Liberty is not going anywhere so no issue there. The question is really about the related open source and the priority of keeping it up to date. Its good to know you are using Rtcomm in a product. It would be great to see some outside contributors to the open source like yourself. Would you be willing to update the external libraries? If not, what time frame are you looking to have this updated?

Thank you for the confirmation. If we'll be able to update the code I'll be happy to submit it to this project. PS: in the future there will be a public roadmap for rtcomm?

Updating the code is no problem. Currently we are waiting for feedback from customers like yourself to determine next steps with rtcomm. Feel free to submit suggestions here or better yet submit feature request through developerWorks (https://developer.ibm.com/answers/smartspace/wasdev/) and we will review it. Thanks!
