The following variables seem to be unique to CORDEX. Is the uppercase by intention? I have not seen any uppercase out_names in CMIP6. Does it make sense to have out_names in CORDEX case sensitive? It seems not useful:

CAPE
LI
CIN
CAPEmax
LImax
CINmax

at leaset, CAPE has been lowercase in CORDEX-CMIP5, e.g., cape.

what about time cell methods for cinmax, limax, capemax for frequency mon? The long name states it's a daily maximum. So what should the monthly time cell method be (https://github.com/WCRP-CORDEX/cordex-cmip6-data-request/issues/11#issuecomment-1404223376)? I guess, it's the same method as for tasmax:

day: area: mean time: maximum
mon: area: mean time: maximum within days time: mean over days

We decided to have all variable names lowercase here!
