Configuration of the EAS domain changed during CORDEX-CMIP5 that led to many confusions. We need to contact the POCs for the EAS domain https://cordex.org/domains/region-7-east-asia to clarify what domain(s) are used in CORDEX-CMIP6. We can leave the EAS domains as they are right now.
Right now, the grid definitions in region 7 (EAS) are not consistent, e.g., the CORDEX-CORE grid
EAS-25
does not cover the same area asEAS-50
andEAS-12
:This is the case for all other regions which define different resolutions. I think, the EAS domain has been redefined for CORDEX-CORE, but I am not sure if there is also a new definition of the other resolutions. Right now, I only see
EAS-25
in the simulation status.@gnikulin would you know, with whom to check the
EAS-25
grid definitions? If there are noEAS-12
runs planned inCORDEX-CMIP6
, i would remove that domain definition from CORDEX-CMIP6_rotated_grids.csv. Numbers forEAS-50
were based on the old archive specs (page 10).
