This looks interesting. Are you with ConferenceCorpus able to crawl and extract information about events? And can this information be added to Wikidata?
In Scholia, we still haven't the ability to add information to Wikidata. We rely on thirdparty tools.
ConferenceCorpus indeed collects conference metadata from different sources - partly crawling is necessary partly dumps are accessed and partly APIs are used.
ConferenceCorpus intends to add conferences and series information to wikidata as started by the https://github.com/SmartDataAnalytics/OpenResearch/discussions/127. Based on Simon Cobbs work so far some 4000 conference series based on dblp serieshave been imported using OpenRefine. For conferences it's some 7000 out of 40000 possible from the dblp datasource. As part of my research i intend to make more conferences from other sources such as MAKG, K10Plus(TIBKAT), GND available. Having bots for addition to Wikidata is obviously a need and I am looking for example bots that we could use as a basis.
I suppose you can work independently of Scholia. Scholia will just show the data once it is in Wikidata. We can indeed make extensions to Scholia if you have particular ideas with regard to your data. What I would like to do is to extend the event aspect with a bit more basic information on the top of the page.
I myself have used quickstatements https://quickstatements.toolforge.org/ for input of data. I imaging @Simon-Cobb is using his own tools.
I am offering to integrate https://pypi.org/project/ConferenceCorpus/ with Scholia. What would be needed?
