Links can be checked using the W3C tool at: http://validator.w3.org/checklink

(1) The first test above will only test for broken links. (2) Additionally we need to test each link to make sure it goes where it is supposed to go. (3) We also need to make sure the links all cause outbound links to open a new tab.
