summary as factor for categorical variables #12

manual inspection using summary is easier for categorical variables if they are factors. e.g., to confirm that column FishSpecies only has those 6 categories. This is like doing "filter" in EXCEL or Google Sheet

note that this was useful in discovering error with Scope MZ12 getting represented as MZ13 - 16
