We're going back and forth on this... since we decided to fold "consume" and "acknowledge" into one method (which takes a boolean to decide whether it makes the item available for purchase again).
Note:
Google Play API uses "consume" to make it available again, "acknowledge" to not. The documentation uses "acknowledgement" to refer to both of these actions.
Samsung API uses "consume" to make it available again, and doesn't require any action to not.
My feeling was that "acknowledge" was a bit more generic, but I could go either way.
