Help Understanding Associated Sites and Subdomains #185

Closed bretticus-mc closed 1 year ago

bretticus-mc commented 1 year ago

Let's say my RWS has an Associated Site/Service Domain for "https://example.com". Would "https://foo.example.com" be implicitly included in the Related Website Set?

cfredric commented 1 year ago

Related Website Sets are defined in terms of sites, rather than origins. So yes, https://foo.example.com and https://example.com are considered same-site, as long as the Public Suffix List doesn't include example.com or foo.example.com as entries.

bretticus-mc commented 1 year ago

Is this also the case for the RWS Set primaries as well?

cfredric commented 1 year ago

Yes, set primaries are also sites.
