An isolated web app needs to be cross-origin isolated. Right now that is achieved, in part, by requiring the Cross-Origin-Opener-Policy: same-origin header to be applied. With the availability of the restrict-properties option this policy will be stricter than necessary. This option is currently under review by the W3C TAG and other implementers and is available as an Origin Trial in Chrome. Once this has shipped this explainer should be updated.
