Read / write access to smart cards and identity cards: ISO/IEC 14443 #109

Introduction

It would be useful to be able to read from ISO/IEC 14443 cards: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO/IEC_14443

For completeness, write access may also be considered.

Examples (Recommended)

Authentication using a smart card or an identity card (issued by a company or government).

Privacy & Security Considerations

Privacy should be considered. However this feature would be only available if you give permission to the website. Furthermore you can read a card only if you intentionally put it near to the device when the website is running in foreground.

This is only the beginning of the discussion (I posted it here since Discourse was sunset). I would like to know if there are already some developments and if this could be of interest to others.
