The Window Controls Overlay explainer describes a single rectangular area for the overlay, but Chromium standalone PWAs on Mac currently show the window controls on the left side of the titlebar, while the three-dot browser menu and page actions (and transient origin text label?) appear on the right side. See this example screenshot.
It may be helpful for this proposal to explore support for multiple overlays to support this scenario. It could be reasonable for the proposal to inherently limit UAs to one overlay, but that would be good to call out explicitly if it were the case.
