From the DESY meeting notes:

store on the Simprod DB the GPU and CPU model information of the execute node where a task ran
cpu string to be extracted from /proc/cpuinfo and gpu string can be tried from lspci output and/or nvidia-smi
new column in the node-statistics table with pointer to some cpu/gpu types table?

Thoughts now that we're closer to implementing this:

just dump the info in each task statistics
- as long as the amount stays small, duplication doesn't matter
- text search is much more straightforward than relational search
let prodtools / something else deal with what to do with the info
