When running QGIS without the AusMap plugin installed (or enabled):
Selecting either menu item opens the QGIS settings
Both menu items have a spanner icon
Pressing Command + , opens the QGIS settings (macOS convention)
When you install and enable the AusMap plugin:
QGIS (application menu) -> Preferences opens AusMap's settings, and has a cogwheel icon
Settings menu -> Options still opens the QGIS settings, and still has a spanner icon
Pressing Command + , opens AusMap's settings
I also notice that the "AusMap" menu doesn't contain the Settings or About this plugin entries like it does on Windows – all the layers are otherwise there.
It's hard to tell what's going on because the version published to the QGIS plugin repository differs from what's here on GitHub.
Affected versions:
QGIS: 3.36.3-Maidenhead, 3.38.0-Grenoble (tested with both versions on macOS)
