REST API Application Passwords Authentication not mentionned anywhere in the docs? #140

I was researching how to authenticate a WP REST API which access had been restricted by reading the docs here https://developer.wordpress.org/rest-api/using-the-rest-api/authentication/

After a bit more research I stumble upon this post by @georgestephanis and that the feature was added in end of year 2020 in 5.6

Did I miss something or is this feature indeed not mentionned in the developer docs? How can I help? (again, I'm just discovering the feature now)

Thanks for flagging this and posting that article. I've been trying to figure out how to utilize this and it's very disappointing that it's not mentioned in the actual REST API documentation
