Infos: Wordpress 6.6.2, Download Monitor 5.0.12, PHP 7.4.3
The website was created in 2023 and the automatic PDF Thumbnail generation worked fine. In the course of 2024 it stopped working.
In the beginning the thumbnails were generated automatically when I uploaded the files, but suddenly not anymore.
I have rolled back the download monitor version in a test site to version 4.9.9 but nothing changed. I think it’s a Wordpress related issue.
In the test site (WP 6.4.5), when I upload the file directly in the WP media, the thumbnail comes but not in the download monitor upload.
In the production site (WP 6.6.2) the doesn't work either way (media or dlm).
More info: In none of the servers, ghostscript is installed. Test server is PHP 8.
The only workaround is to upload the PDF-files to Media Library and then from there create a download with the Download Monitor function «protect». The file and its thumbnails are then transferred to the dml-uploads folder.
It would be ideal if you could do it directly with download monitor, however, like we had a while ago.
